چکیده

Mordenites are widely used in catalysis and environmental protection. The catalytic properties of mordenite largely determined by the composition its crystal framework, i.e., SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio (MR), cationic form. In H-mordenites, most important characteristic becomes structure distribution acid sites, which depends on number Al tetrahedra framework. present work, local these centers H-mordenite catalysts with a nominal MR varied from 9.9 to 19.8 was studied detail using combination magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). 27Al MAS NMR indicates presence extra-framework samples that results higher real zeolitic framework compared value. Concentrations Lewis Brønsted as well silanol groups were estimated elemental analysis, NMR, FTIR spectroscopy. values site concentrations obtained band intensities adsorbed CO those OH amount aluminum. advantages restrictions different methods active characterization discussed.

Surface Diffusion in Catalysts Probed by APGSTE NMR

In this work we report the application of a recently developed experimental protocol using Pulsed Field Gradient (PFG) Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) techniques to simultaneously assess bulk pore and surface diffusion coefficients in liquid saturated porous catalysts. This method has been developed to study solvent effects on the diffusion of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) in mesoporous 1 wt% Pd/A...

Catalytic Active Sites in Molybdenum Based Catalysts

In situ metal, acid and metal-acid (bifunctional) catalytic active functions were prepared following partial reduction by hydrogen of MoO3 deposited on TiO2 at temperatures between 623 K and 673 K. The bifunctional structure is obtained following the reduction of MoO3 to MoO2. The metallic properties of MoO2 are attributed to the delocalized  electrons above the Mo atoms place along the C-axis...

Evolution of anatase surface active sites probed by in situ sum-frequency phonon spectroscopy

Surface active sites of crystals often govern their relevant surface chemistry, yet to monitor them in situ in real atmosphere remains a challenge. Using surface-specific sum-frequency spectroscopy, we identified the surface phonon mode associated with the active sites of undercoordinated titanium ions and conjoint oxygen vacancies, and used it to monitor them on anatase (TiO2) (101) under ambi...

'H MAS NMR Studies of Alumina-Supported Metal Oxide Catalysts

The interactions of two-dimensional vanadium oxide and molybdenum oxide overlayers with the surface hydroxyls of an alumina support were examined with 'H MAS NMR spectroscopy. The measurements demonstrated that these surface metal oxide overlayers are homogeneously distributed over the alumina surface and essentially titrate all the accessible surface hydroxyls at monolayer coverage. The invest...

Membrane protein topology probed by (1)H spin diffusion from lipids using solid-state NMR spectroscopy.

We describe a two-dimensional solid-state NMR technique to investigate membrane protein topology under magic-angle spinning conditions. The experiment detects the rate of (1)H spin diffusion from the mobile lipids to the rigid protein. While spin diffusion within the rigid protein is fast, magnetization transfer in the mobile lipids is an inefficient and slow process. Qualitative analysis of (1...
